Is it better to visit the UAE in october or november to get a first hand feel as to the opportunities.

I've lived in the UAE all my life (23 yrs old now) and currently working as a buy side metals trader in the US. I'm looking to move back (preferably before march 2009; ideally December/January) and doing research in the mean time as to what opportunities are there - last time i visited was Christmas of 2006.I have the regional experience, familiar with how business is done & local customs, fluent in 3 languages (English, Arabic, and Eritrean), am culturally adept with a solid education (UC Bachelors) Any input and advice as to how i could approach this is welcomed and much appreciated. Kind Regards, Kaizen Trader p.s. the reason for the question is due to the fact i'd rather make the trip after the holy month of ramadan

  • Depends on your application approach. If you're applying to local banks only, chances are there could be some let up for ramadan. I would have thought that headhunters and recruiters would be active all year round and that international banks would be as keen to recruit at that time due to the difficulty of finding quality staff.
